EPP Transfer Protection
Determine what EPP is, what it's used for and why it’s so essential for your domains.
In case you would like to transfer a domain name from one domain registrar to another, you’ll need a special domain name authorization code, which may be called by different names – an EPP key, an AuthInfo code, a domain name password, and so on. All these names designate the exact same thing – a code that the domain registrant gets from the present domain name registrar and gives to the new one during the order process. Without an authentic code, a domain name transfer procedure cannot be started and this is one of the protection mechanisms against unapproved transfer attempts used with all gTLD and with most ccTLD extensions. For even greater security, the code contains digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you’d like to transfer one of your domain names, you have to provide the new registrar company with the right code.
EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Hosting
You can obtain the EPP transfer authorization code for any domain name that you’ve registered with our company with just a few clicks of the mouse from the very same Hepsia Control Panel that you will use to manage your shared hosting account. As soon as you visit the Registered Domains section, you’ll find all your domain names conveniently displayed in alphabetical order. If a particular extension supports transfers between domain name registrars with an EPP transfer code, you’ll see an EPP button to the right of the given domain. If you click on that button, the code will be emailed to the email associated with the Registrant contact for the domain name in question. If needed, you can edit the contact details, including the email, without the need to leave this section of the Control Panel, if the currently entered email address is no longer valid.
